Hello and welcome to the World Class Putting community of GOLF ADDICTS! My name is RJ and I started World Class Putting to help golfers fall deeper in love with the game and to get maximum enjoyment out of life on and off the course. More specifically, my goal is to demystify putting by sifting through the noise within the golf industry. After studying the game for more than 20 years, it is clear that many of the top players, instructors and equipment manufacturers in the world have radically different views on what matters in putting and what it takes to improve. There are endless versions of putter designs, training aids, instructional content, etc. that claim to have the secret to taking strokes off your game on the greens, and the most frustrating fact about all of that noise is many of those messages are in direct conflict with each other! That brings us to the central theme of the WCP brand which is that you cannot blindly follow the advice or teaching of your favorite so-called expert, and you certainly can’t expect to putt better with a new flatstick you purchased because a player you admire is using one like it. YOU have to be your own coach and find the putting equipment and strategies that you believe in. That will mean doing a little academic study and also experimenting with different equipment yourself. If you’re thinking to yourself “that sounds like too much work,” I want to assure you that going on a learning and experimentation journey is actually a ton of FUN! It opens up an entirely new world of enjoyment around the game outside of simply playing (which very few of us get to do as much as we would like anyway) and allows you to get more satisfaction from the improvement that you will inevitably see after investing in yourself and enhancing your golf IQ.
